Multi-Function Service Machine
Kiosk for Information Service
China’s banks are working hard to offer modern banking services to its fast-growing middle-class. One bank is improving its services by installing a new self-service information kiosk.
Working with a system integrator, thekiosk provides comprehensive and accurate information for its customers. Running on Advantech’s PCA-6003 Single Board Computer, with a PCL-849+ communication card, in an IPC-610 chassis, the system has been highly successful.
-           Four independent RS-232 Serial ports
-           High-speed of transmission
-           Wide IRQ selection and shared IRQ settings for each of 4 serial ports.
-           LED indicators on each port
The system is not designed to provide cash withdrawal services, but basic account balance checking, information on foreign exchange rates, interest rates and other bank information. This is all accessible by the touch screen interface. By using ISA cards, the system is very affordable.
-    PCL-849+ is installed inside the IPC-610 chassis, and connected to the card reader, printer, keypad and touch screen by RS-232.
-    A central control server remotely controls the kiosk and its services. All transmission data can be stored back in the central server, which prevents the risk of damaged field-site equipment, system crashes and communication disconnection.
-                The self-service machines provide comprehensive information and improved service at a very low cost, and also reduced   manpower costs.
-                The onboard interrupt status registers allows greater throughout.
-                Transmission speeds up to 307.2 kbps brings the benefits of “High-speed and    High-performance” communication.
-                The system is surge protected and prepared for outdoor installations.
